Ⅰ. Arrangement design of precision injection mold


Product arrangement is an important step in mold design. Through product arrangement, the core and cavity dimensions can be determined, and then the specifications of the mold base can be determined. Product arrangement is mainly based on customer requirements, arranging one or more products according to a reasonable injection molding process and mold structure. Especially when arranging precision injection molds, you must consider the mold structure, injection point, product size, parting surface, etc. of the product.


Ⅱ. The number of precision injection mold cavities generally does not exceed 4


For the arrangement design of precision injection molding molds, the number of cavities should be as small as possible. Because each additional cavity reduces the accuracy of the product by 4%, the number of cavities for precision injection molds generally does not exceed 4.


There are 10 principles for the design of injection mold arrangement:


1: Each cavity is filled at the same time at the same temperature, and balance is achieved by adjusting the gate size by using a balanced layout or an unbalanced layout.


2: Gate balance.


3: Large and small products are arranged symmetrically.


4: Mold force balance, that is, the injection pressure center coincides with the center of the main runner to prevent flash. When using the method of two color injection molding, we need to pay more attention to the force balance.


5: The runner is as short as possible to lower the waste rate, shorten the molding cycle, and reduce the heat loss.


6: Compact structure to save steel.


7: The same product, big as near and small as far away.


8: Similar in height.


9: Big first and then small.


10: Good manufacturability.
