The Three Aspects on the Process of Machining Sheet Metal

1. Cutting

In recent years, mechatronics equipment, such as CNC machine tools, has gradually been used in sheet metal fabrication, which makes the operation of the blanking process more convenient and accurate. In the specific blanking process, the quality of the metal sheet needs to be concerned, and meanwhile the hole size must be well controlled. For example, when using a CNC machine tool, it is necessary to analyze the mechanical performance before the operation. According to the requirements of the combined drawing manufacturing industry in the blanking process to control it. Because the blanking process can be carried out in many ways, such as cutting, shearing, laser, there are strict requirements in terms of material size and performance.

2. Bending

Since there are certain differences in the mechanical properties of various materials, and the springback curvature will also be different. When sheet metal processing is performed, the minimum bending radius must first be strictly controlled. Use the minimum bending radius as the basis so as to control the processing standards. At the same time, the hole pitch and height distance must be controlled during the bending process, such as the height of the straight edge. If standard control is not carried out, it will affect the progress of the subsequent processing engineering. The opening is one of the main process in bending operation.

3. Surface treatment and welding treatment

The sheet metal machining process in the sheet metal processing is a very frequent process. Especially when processing multiple parts combination, it is necessary to use welding connection, so that the accuracy and strength of the sheet metal parts can meet the standard. The commonly used welding methods, mainly includes brazing, gas welding, arc welding, etc. The specific method used depends on the material. In addition, after completing the above steps, the processing of the parts should also undergo surface treatment, such as common cold-worked plate electroplating treatment, and then choose the treatment plan according to the material situation.
